About the Basement

Through the third wing in the main entrance is a set of stairs the leads to the ground floor. After making the descent you’ll find our chest-pounding dance club dubbed by its eclectic patrons as “The Basement” and also home to Maine’s biggest retro, industrial and gothic nights. Also on the ground floor of the venue are Asylum’s administrative offices, dressing rooms, and Green Room complete with separate dressing room and shower.

Dance the night away as we spin the hottest 80′s and 90′s jams. No dress code is required, although who doesn’t love bringing out their old gear and kickin’ it for fun, retro night. Get ready to pump up the jam!
